I need your help. I have requested a copy of my great grandfather's death certificate and was told by Vital Records of SC that they did not have it. The person informed me that the undertaker at that time must not have submitted the death certificate. I have no idea who the undertaker was. My question is: How can I get a copy of this death certificate?

The death certificate is for Will Witherspoon. He died Jan. 1943 in Lancaster County, SC. Spouse name: Lula. He was buried in Steele Hill Cemetery in Lancaster County, SC. Can you help me?
