Hello All,

Ms. Ferguson was able to document her genealogy back to the Rrevolutinary War and appled to the DAR. She was given general membership, but the local Washington, DC Chapter refused her application because she was black, effectively keeping her from participating in the organization. She sucessfully challenged them and became a full fleged member.
