Tim, My father was born in Panola AL and was a coal miner in Birmingham AL,he migrated to Va.and worked for the Clinchfield coal mines,he retired in 1949.His name was Charlie Daniels,he also was a strong union man till the day he died.Clinchfield is in the South western section of Virginia.
