I have mixed feelings about this. I would prefer that people get a restitution, meaning restored back to what was taken from them. Additionally, this lawsuit was originally against the government for much more money, cannot recall the specific amount and they have figured a way to circumvent the findings of the court by passing this law. And why are NA farmers getting more money than African American farmers??? I know for a FACT that some tribes are already getting compensated by the government for lands taken from them. These settlement payments start at 18. I think that black farmers are yet again getting the short end of the stick.
