I just wanted to share that if you have ties to Meharry you may find this tidbit useful. The Meharry Medical College library has on its website catalogs from 1881-1912 available as full-text PDF files. There is also a publication called Meharry News that has marriages, deaths, and general announcements of Meharry alumni and staff.

Description from the website:
"The MMC Archives maintain school catalogues and publications dating to 1881, five years after Meharry's founding as a department of Central Tennessee College. Many of these publications are now available here online. Currently, Catalogues and Announcements (1881-1912, with some gaps) and Meharry News (alumni newsletter, 1902-1904) of these publications are available."
