Another 'early' graduate from the Univ. of Michigan Law School was Sully Jaymes, class of 1901. Atty. James praticed Law in Springfield, Ohio from ca 1902 until his death in 1940. A brief bio sketch of Mr. Jaymes is found at:

A BTW, "Who's Who in the Colored Race V1, published in 1915" is an excellent resource for personal AA history & biographical sketches.
