Re: 'Found' in Baldwin County GA
In Response To: 'Found' in Baldwin County GA ()
Did no more than 3 @ $1.00 a page. Local folk were unable to determine if there was a commercial publication. There were about 100 pages with about 20 lines to each page. Most of the entries indicated "C" colored.
I am just learning that there is a commercial publication from a Milledgeville Colleague
Thank you for the delightful photograph of Mary and Muriel and for the contact information for Dr. Richards and Dr. Womack. I had just gotten a copy of The Dead Book - Burials in the City Cemetery Milledgeville, GA 1869-1904 and just couldn't put it down. It is a transcription of the original at the courthouse with the exception that the entries are alphabetical. I received permission from Dr. Susan Harrington of GC&SU to copy some pages and I am attaching pages 132-33 which contains surnamed Slaters.
