Re: Military Grave Sites
In Response To: Military Grave Sites ()
All of these soldiers died of cholera in 1939 in missouri. Understandably they were buried in a mass grave. No one understood the disease at the time. BUT there were white soldiers who also died in this same hospital and their graves were not lost to history. Our people are always segregated and when evidence is uncovered proven and documented, we r told to RAISE FUNDS to have this reburied at another site because 'the room at the main areas are shrinking for the FUTURE deceased'. So What? These men have already earned their headstones and a plot at the main site. Give them their honor, headstones AND monument. They were lost and now they are found. Their descendants do not have to raise funds to buy land to honor them. It is already there.
