Re: Old Pictures to Share-added Tip
In Response To: Old Pictures to Share ()
If your pictures have fallen out of the old albums--do not use regular glue or scotch tape to replace them. This means the acid in the paper, glue and tape, is damaging them. IF they are in shoe boxes now are a drawer...rescue them. Go on line to Michaels Craft store. Look for Recollections storage boxes. These are specialized containers for old photos. There are also coupons that can be printed out that may qualify to get the discount. ALSO when naming each picture NO LONGER USE a sharpy pen or ball point pen. Liquid pens eventually bleed through the photo image. There are also specialized pens, glue and albums that we now need to use for these old prints. Save the image by scanning them. Store the originals ALWAYS in a cool dry place. NOT IN THE ATTIC OR BASEMENT NEAR A FURNACE.
