I found no such family in Weakley county, Tennessee, but there was a slave owning family there surnamed "Cooley" and they lived in Dresden during the Civil War. When my great grandfather married a second time after my great grandmother's death, he listed his mother's name as Mary Cooney. But, who knows ....
