HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!! Success in finding the Will.

Thanks to all for your assistance in this effort.

We've located the Will of my 2nd great-grandfather, William F. Adams, at the Center for Sacramento History in Sacramento, CA. The Archivist at the Center has confirmed the Will and given me instructions for obtaining a copy. She gave a brief summary of the contents which verified we have the correct William Adams. Named in the Will are his wife, Lydia Ann Adams, my 2nd great-grandmother, his children Margaret, William F., Jr, Alameda and my great-grandfather, Isaac L. Adams.

Lesson learned/remembered .... It can't all be done by email and the Internet. A telephone call(s) with a request and detailed information can still get the job done.

If I haven't mentioned it I reside in Ohio and this Will (50 pages) is filed in Sacramento, CA where my 2nd great-grandfather spent the last 10-11 years of his life (1860-1871). So you can be successful in researching your family from a long distance.
