I get Heritagequest free through my library membership. I'd rather look at their census sheets. I thought they would not be indexing the 1940 census.
I am glad I volunteered to index for Family Search. I learned so much by what different census takers wrote, and saw how some of them failed to follow the rules. And penmanship on some sheets were just unreadable. I helped to index SC. Did over 10,000 anmes plus some Draft cards. If there is a oppurtunity to help index for any group--suggest you volunteer.
