For those of you who have the membership--have you ever used the member collaboration. I have been lucky to find family through this and it was a younger generation who posted the tree. We both were able to clear up dead ends to our related family tree. It seems as if her grgrandma had been married to my grandfathers uncle. When this uncle and other family members left the state, they did not inform her family where they migrated. Cuzzins found. He left I believe after her grgranma died--I believe.
I peiodically go back to see if anyone new has posted something for one of my surnames. Ancestry tells you the last time they posted on their boards. Just found one and she seems to be researching the same states my surname of interest lived in over the years. She posted only 5 months ago. I am hoping with all of these commercials ancestry puts on the TV and the fact the holidays are here, she may check her messages. Hopefuly a DOOR WILL OPEN. You just can't give up.
