Thanks so very much for the link to Selinva's posting on "AA's & Railroads". Your refresher posting and the link brings to mind a very important feature found on the AfriGeneas Home Page.

The feature .... SEARCH, For those who may not be aware of the feature, or those who may not have used the search feature I would suggest you give it a try.

Vicky, in light of your posting I clicked on the Search button from the Home Page. That directed me to the AfriGeneas Site Search page, there I entered railroads, clicked AfriGeneas & then GO. I was immediately connected to several pages of links of AfriGeneas postings dealing with the subject of railroads, including Selinva's posting. The postings were on railroad companies, Pullman Porters, railroad retirement, railroad occupations, employee newspapers, etc.

SEARCH ------- another great feature of the AfriGeneas community where you may find sources, or direction for answers to many of your genealogical questions. The information archived on the AfriGeneas website is simply amazing, don't overlook it
