In the south, the "bush arbor" is nothing but grape wines. Wines growing within a frame. One crown of the wine is trained to grow upward. And then fanned out across the frame. Making a shade area were the families and neighbors would gather in the evenings.
During enslavement, the arbor was used to meet and at times, hold church.
