Re: NC & SC - 99% - Patiently Waiting....

Regina ~

I checked ancestry and nothing appears in the index. I also searched page by page in the neighborhood where my Dad most likely lived -- again, nothing.

My father, James L King 1922-1977, and his siblings bounced around from relative to relative after their mother died in 1933. Their father had "issues." So far, I've only found one brother living with an uncle.

The thing that puzzles me is that my father's grandmother, Lenora Mayberry Watson 1877-1964, her living children and their families do not appear in the 1930 or 1940 Census. They all lived in Nashville Tennessee. The neighborhood was spotty but I never thought it could be missed twice.

So my thread of hope is that the familysearch indexers find something that the ancestry.com searchers did not see. I know this isn't likely but I'm just trying to 'keep hope alive.' ;)
