In Response To: Texas Voters Registration, 1867-1869 ()
good morning.thank you. i found my great great grandfather miles richardson and some of his brothers. i am trying to find out green richardson and his relationship to miles richardson ? i wonder why miles father charles richardson is not listed ? he is on the 1870 census of davis, texas on page 64 with miles .i rember years ago. when a researcher suggeted to me the 1867 voter registration records.i came across asberry richardson. i aksed my grandmother ? do you know asberry richardson ? she said.uncle asberry richardson.of course i do.the 1867 voter riegistration records and the freedmen's bureau are two of the best resources for african americans if you can locate family members.just after the civilwar and having this information is something to treasure.isn't it something that women were not able to vote.then black men just out of chattel slavery having the right to vote ? what a contradiction.sheikhmo1999@yahoo.com.p.o.box 338-compton,ca.90223 Messages In This Thread
