Re: Marvin P. Gay Jr. 1940 Census, Washington, DC
In Response To: Re: Marvin P. Gay Jr. 1940 Census, Washington, DC ()
No problem at all I love history, ever since I saw the Temptations mini-series in 1998 I have fell in love with history, when I was younger than that I always read about MLK Jr and the CR movement, that was always a book report I did in school. I always loved history, I never knew about census records before starting my family research, but when I did start in 2007 I discovered these records and looking up those singers and athletes, etc. I have heard and read about, the only problem was most were born after 1930, so now with the release of the 1940 census, it gives me a chance to actually look up them and their families. Unfortunate a lot were born after 1940 or after the day of the census, but seeing their families is awesome, and just imaging them being on the brink of success/stardom. You wonder what they were doing at that time. Messages In This Thread
