Reading the 1940 Census is like reading a novel about my family. It is a continuous work that moves to the present and reaches back somewhere before the current cast of characters in this were aware of the ones that came before them. I can't put it down. Not right now because the more I know the more I want to know. I am in awe of what they were able to bring us to this day and hopefully beyond. The more I know the more I respect them, their trials and tribulations.
