The pringles had Northern homes on North Carlolina called Pringleville. They fought with General Barksdales Brigade 13th Mississippi. Moved to Texas on a wagon train in 1865 part of the migration after the war This ranch was located in Falls county and called Pringleville as well. Isham J. Pringle married Sarah Ann Ross a decendent of John Ross Betsy Ross's Husband. He was the Postmaster under President Cleveland. They were teachers and farmers in Mississippi and Ranchers in Texas during the 1800's and then farming. The Pringle's and Ross families were erased form history form these parts because they were nice people who treated all with christian ethics. You can read about the Pringle and Ross families by searching the Federal Writers Project and searching Sarah Ann Ross Pringle. Some of the former servants moved to Texas with the family. Most stayed in Mississippi after the civil war. Meridan has been hot bed of crooks and theifs after the civil war who have tried to coverup their crimes againts landowners of all colors. Any white person of any means moved as soon as possible from this unconsitutional Godless lawless place.
