Re: Church Family Tree
In Response To: Church Family Tree ()

Hi Regina,
FYI
While working on my Family Tree, I found out my g grandfather, Silas West was one of the founder of my home Church which is Littlefield Missionary Baptist Church in Sampson County, NC. Two other men were founders, Lockamy and Merritt men, also. West family married into the Barefoot Family. then some West married into the Draughon and Williams families. Also my Williams married into the Draughon family. And most of the members were and are relatives.
So I now have a family/Church family tree all in one. I was able to get the 127th Church Anniversary book, which gave me a lot of information that was very helpful to my research.
For Instance, this book has all the ministers and what their salaries were while serving as pastors at the time, church clerks, deacons, trustee, treasuery, secretary from the beginning of the church. I have seen the cornerstone and the deed for the land where church was built and the founders names on it
Just wanted to add a note, maybe someone else may have the same situation.
Thanks for reading my post.

Alice
