I just found out that the Fold3 web site (formerly Footnote.com) is allowing free access to its Black History Collection. This is during February only.
Click the link below. In the changing electronic "billboard" at the top of the home page, wait until the "Black History Collection" display appears and click on it.
You'll see Colored Troops Records, Court Slave Records, Slave Registry, and Anti-slavery Records. Click "See all records" to access those records and to see more.
I've used this site before, but it's usually pay-per-view, except for the Bills of Sale and Estate Inventories section.
