NEW information is Arising

On Ancestry.com. I built family trees from maternal and matertal sides of my family as complete as I possibly can.
On my father's side, I have to tell you that is the most difficult side to connect the dots. When I find a confirmed connection, the poster either has not checked the site in month's, or I figure the email address has changed. But someone is paying for the membership for it to still be there.
What I have started noticing is, I am getting 'hint leafs', for ancestors who I have had posted, for years on ancestry. And the 'hint's, are mainly death certificates from states, I never, was ever able to trace a ancestor. I always ask for 'anywhere' in the USA on searches. Do you think this is because the 1940 census is coming out?
I have gone back through each name this week and reposted for women married in as complete a name as possible, ex MRS. Hattie Vance GAFNEY. I don't know if this will help me find descendants from this lady, but you do whatever you can.
Are there any other suggestions for finding descendants, that have helped you to connect.
You know I'm sort of reluctant to find some of these relatives. One side were a volitle group, and some of the cousins I have always known about, seem to have inherited that 'crazy gene', too.
