Thanks for your remarks about Jack Temple Kirby's article, "ANCESTRYdotBOMB: genealogy, genomics, mischief, mystery, and southern family stories."

I found his article published by the Journal of Southern History at the link below. Kirby uses examples from his own family research to those of Haley and others to highlight the inconsistencies, inaccuracies and creative filling in the blanks in many ancestral histories.

He gently disputes them by questioning their findings. And of course, confusing the arguments with facts.
