For anyone who has never attendant any 'black worshop', YOU NEED TO GO. Your local genealogy workshops may be good, but out of state, I have found are really informative. If you have to go by yourself..do it. I have done so many times and come away finding a new friend.
Don't let anyone block it. There is so much information you have to look at to uncover just who and what 'black people' went through for you to exist here and now. It is so exciting..and you know you don't have to be the only black person sitting in a sea of faces, who's heritage started in Europe.
I can't attend this year, but Indiana is definitely one of my places to go. Oh yeh..and I have to cut back on buying those Author's books. Airlines charge too much.
And trying to decide what workshop to attend that same hour is really frustrating. You only get 1 time to attend.
