Another song that has similiar words is, "Somewhere Around God's Throne". I don't know if this is a James Clevland song or who. It was popular is the early 70's. I remember our adult choir singing it ( blowing the roof off). It goes something like this:

I went back to the house where I use to live.
Someone from across the street met me at the door.
They said I know who you are and I know who you are looking for.
They don't live there anymore.

I went to the little church where I use to go.
The preacher met me at the door. And said, "Son, I know who 'you're looking for. But they don't come here anymore. they just don't come here anymore. They are somewhere around God's throne.
