Thanks to cyber friend Gloria, I've been able to confirm some stories of the dark side of my Hancock ancestors.
It seems that my Granduncles Jim and Tink Hancock had a tough time of it in South Carolina with shoot outs, bootlegging, murders, chasing desparados and such.
Gloria helped me out tremendously by sending me articles from the Augusta Chronicle of the 1920's and one as far back as 1898.

Some of you may recall me writing that my Grandfather, Jack Hancock, took his family North to Rochester, NY to avoid the mess his brothers had to endure.
