Re: 2nd Cousin Melvin O Eubanks was a Tuskegee Airman

George,

I have found the following website to be extremely helpful in my search for information about my late father, James A. Thompson, who was also a Tuskegee Airman.

http://aces.safarikovi.org/victories/usa-ww2-tuskegee.html

Among other information, it lists the names of all of the pilot graduates from the Tuskegee Flight School. The list is from the appendix of the book, "Black Knights - The Story of the Tuskegee Airmen", by Lynn M. Holman and Thomas Reilly.

Ironically, as I was reading the names of the graduates, I came across the name of the father of one of my high school classmates and good friends! Cassie Criss and I had graduated from high school together in Pasadena, CA in 1966 and never realized until earlier this year that her father, Leroy Criss, and my father had both been Tuskegee Airmen!

Here is the information about my father:
Thompson, James A.
45-G-SE 10/16/1945
Flt. Officer T141246 Cleveland, Ohio

Mr. Criss, from Los Angeles, graduated from Flight School as a Flt. Officer on April 15, 1945.

There was a Robert W. Lawrence, of Bloomfield, NJ, who graduated from Flight School as a 2nd Lt. on June 27, 1944.

Blessings!

Anita
