Re: Interesting Breakdown of Race in 1880 Census

Lisa,
I've been researching the RICHARDSON families from Halifax & Warren Counties for some time, and many of their family members also lived in the surrounding counties of Nash, Granville & Franklin. I agree, it can be a very confusing line to research because of all of the same names given to almost every family member, which is one of the reasons I find it easier to research entire families, to help identify each one.
Abner RICHARDSON was the son of Hardy RICHARDSON, b.1788 Halifax Co.NC/d.May 1855 Halifax Co.NC & Dorcas POPE, b.1794 Halifax Co/d.1870-1880 Halifax Co.NC. His wife was Jane BOON, b.1828 Nash Co.,dau/of William "Billy" BOON & Fanny, of Nash Co.,NC.
What is it that you need to know, maybe I can help you identify others in the family?

Deloris
