Re: TV programs during Black History Month

Guess you could count the SuperBowl with not one but TWO AA head coaches competing for the first time in that sports history. I'm glad for Lovie Smith, but especially am rooting for Tony Dungy. One feel-good thing about this is that we and our country are getting more comfortable with seeing these AA firsts. BTW, here's his father, WILBUR, as a small boy in 1930 w/his family:

Name: WILBUR DUNGY, 4, abt 1925 MI, son, Negro, male
Home in 1930: Jackson, Jackson, Michigan
Other Household Members:
Herbert L Dungy 34, abt 1896 Canada, HOH, Negro, male
Lena A/Cleomae 27, abt 1903, wife (no birthplace listed), Negro
Florine A 7, dtr, abt 1923 MI, Negro
Marie 5, dtr, abt 1925 MI (Wilbur's twin?), Negro, female
Harold L 15 mos., son, abt 1929 MI, Negro, male

Oprah's Roots to be aired in the Stockton, CA area on Jan 24 is a program I will not miss. I'm also going to watch the re-airing of the original PBS show "African-American Lives".
