hey, I sent you an email explaining our connection. Oh, I would like to find the Palmetto book myself. I think you have to order from Louisiana. I'm not sure. I know Palmetto was established by Zenon RIDEAU, a free man of color. There is a place known as RIDEAU settlement in Palmetto. Zenon RIDEAU was the son of a white man, Zenon REED and a slave of Louis RIDEAU by the named of Magdalaine RIDEAU if I'm not mistaken. Interestly enough, he signed as security along with Louis RIDEAU(the free black) in order to purchase Balthazaran(the father of Louis) in 1848 with the purpose of freeing him. I wonder if Zenon is kin to my RIDEAUs as well.
