Hello,
My name is Benita Davis and during my research on my grandfather being a member of the GUOOF I came across a picture that I have since identified as being that of GUOOF member is Lexington, Virginia. The photo can be found at the virginia historical society website an exhibit of Michael Miley. The site www.vahistorical.org/miley/miley.htm# I spoke with Mr. Ruggles the assistant curator who examined the photo with a magnifying glass and read the badge which had GUO of OF Lodge #2451 or 2461. He also stated one of the men had an additional badge that had PNF on it. During your research do you know what PNF means.

I am not sure if my grandfather is on this picture. There are no existing pictures of my grandfather in the family only a general description. This picture does fit the era my grandfather was born 1879 and died 1930. Mr. Ruggles stated the picture was not older than 1930.
