One of my discoveries came about just earlier this year, when I discoveed that my great grandfather Andrew Crowell was married twice, and I became the only one within this present day family to know this. Way back the older relatives like my mom never discussed Grandfather Andrew Crowell that much, but through some records I discovered that after his first wife, a Cherokee named Rachel had died, he married someone named Sarah. Andrew and Rachel had five children one of who was my grandmother Martha Ellen. What happened later was that after Andrew died in 1898, his second wife Sarah took much of Andrew's children to court to get what she claimed she deserved. By the way all of this was in Rowan and Union County, N.C. Joseph
