1720-1745 S.C. Slave Manumissions/Free Blacks
While searching for the manumission documents for my g-g-g-g-grandparents in South Carolina, I've accumulated many, many names of slaves who were freed. I have posted some of those names on my blog page. If you are searching for ancestors in South Carolina, you are more than welcome to visit.
The information provided gives the names of slaveholders, their slave(s), sometimes the age, and the county in which they lived. I will continue to post such information as I find it.
Also listed on my blog page are names of slaves and their monetary value, which was extracted from the Will of George Egner, who lived in Newberry, South Carolina. He was the owner of my g-g-g-g-grandparents.
I hope you are able to find an ancestor there.
