Deeonna, I feel ya! I'm reseaching my fathers maternal side of the family. His grandmothers' name was Luvicee (depending on which census you're reading) Farr or Fair. She also was from Union County and a slave. Since most slaves did not know how to read or write it appears the enumerator wrote the name according to how it was pronounced and not everyone hears, speaks or even spells the same. I'd almost given up on one line the Birds only to find out that in later census the name was Byrd. Since both of these names Farr/Fair occur in Union, you may have to research both. LOL and God Bless.
