Re: 1910 and 1920 Census Lookup for FL
In Response To: Re: 1910 and 1920 Census Lookup for FL ()
First, lets confirm where Eugene was during the census years. Now in 1900 I found his wife Mary but not him in Pensacola Fla. He was not listed in the Family. He may have been off in School are preaching somewhere. Name: Mary Carter Ala SC Ala
In 1910, he is in Columbus, Georgia believe or not. Name: Eugene J Carter Occupation:Minister Ala Ala Ala
Wife: Mary J Ala SC Ala
In 1920, he is in Pennsylvania. Wow he got around didn't he. Name: Eugene Carter Occupation:Minister
Wife Mary age 55
In 1930, I found Mary again but not Eugene. What is interesting here is that she is in Detroit Michigan and it states that she is married and not widowed, so Eugene is still alive. Name: Mary Carter
Children:
It looks like they kept control over there daughters It sure seems like Eugene led a very active life. This is a very interesting story. So tell me how are you related to Eugene? Okay lets find James and Queen Carter. In 1870 James is in Wilcox County, Snow Hill, Ala Name: James Carter Farmer
Wife: Queen age 37 Mullato
In 1880 he is still in Ala Name: James Carter
Note: I believe that the ages in 1870 were wrong which often happened. I am more inclined to believe the 1880 ages. Now in 1900, 1910, and 1920 I could not find them. You may have to assume that they did not live to 1910. Eugene traveled so much and being that James and Queen were elderly, they may not have been able to travel with him. So, it may be a good idea for you to start looking for death certificates. They may never have left Ala, so you may be able to find some death certificates in Ala of James and Queen. Tony PS. My bill is in the mail......Just kidding
