You never gave any first names for the Brodie's that you are researching. In the mid to late 1800's some of the African American Brodie's (From South Carolina) moved to parts of North Carolina. Furman had nine children and his children had children. They moved all over North Carolina. I have their names etc... If you give me a few names, perhaps I could be of help to you. I have been researching the Brodie's for over 10 years. I have traced them (my Brodies') back to 1754.

I am not necessarily trying to make a "connection", I am just continuing my research as it relates to the Brodie's. I am also researching the last names Scott, Chavous, Chavis, Corley, Johnson, Padgett, Wislon, Graver and Wicks.
