2nd Cousin Melvin O Eubanks was a Tuskegee Airman

I was re-reading the funeral notice and obituary of recently found 2nd Cousin Dr. Melvin Oliver Eubanks. It stated that “ …He joined the Job Corps and later the Tuskegee Airmen and was featured in Ebony magazine, Nov. 1994.”

I rushed to the main branch of the Oakland Public library. They had the issue. The article didn’t mention him by name, but there were a couple of group photos. Now, I have to inquire with my living cousins who may (or may not) know where he is placed in those photos.

Question- Is anyone, here at AfriGeneas, familiar with this Ebony article? Does anyone have a listing of the 'Airmen' in the photos?

The only additional information I have on Melvin is that he was part of the 25th Bomb Squadron and part of the second crew:

2nd Crew): 1/Lt RICHARD REAM; Lester Barkley; John Kelly; Robert Glenn; Hayden
Briggs; Melvin Eubanks; Melvin March; Guinn Wilson; Stephen Halas; George Smith;
CC-William Houts #908 (to Tinian)
Pasted from http://www.40thbombgroup.org/25THcrews.htm

I need help fleshing out his story!
Thanks in advance. :)

I'll also cross-post this in the military forum.

Melvin Oliver Eubanks
17 Mar 1923 – 23 Jan 1998
