Negro Baseball - Texas
In Response To: Re: Negro Baseball - Texas ()
There is no one definitive source, I study the topic overall. James A. Riley's "Biographical Encyclopedia of the Negro Leagues" is good for team data and player profiles, but there are more anecdotal and orally historic books as well. Frazier "Slow" Robinson covers Tex-Olka. teams in his memoir (Catching Dreams: My Life in the Negro Baseball Leagues ). You could also e-mail the nation's leading Negro League experts, Dick Clark of Kalamazoo or Larry Lester of St. Louis (e-mail me offlist for their contact info) On the web: Hope this fills in some gaps.
