Sarah Hutson Butler, my great-grandmother, was born 9 Jan 1860 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC to Joseph Butler and Nancy Davidson. She died 25 Mar 1895 in Washington, DC.

Her autograph book contains many signatures of individuals involved in the A.M.E. church and Biddle University (now J.C.S.U.) in Charlotte, NC. These signatures are of both her and her husband's friends and relatives. Over the years I've managed to find additional information about many, while others remain a mystery. Most of these individuals resided in North Carolina. It is my hope that someone recognizes a name as a relative. If indeed this is the case, I would be more than happy to divulge the signer's accompanying text.
