Re: Beyond These Walls My Ancestors Stood

Dear Vicky:

I just loved reading your website, Mariah’s Zephr. It dazzles! Your words are exquisite. They resonate with the love of your family and compliment the fascinating images. The background painting of an interior is stunning.
.
We share some interests and experience. I was a semi- army brat. It’s one of the many reasons why I’m so interested in black military history. General Chappie James was one of my father’s childhood friends. Now He was a positive role model!

Thomas A. Dorsey is one of my favorite composers. Have you ever seen the documentary film, “Say Amen Somebody?” I have the video. It’s one of my favorites. I’ve been meaning to post some of my research on Mr. Dorsey. Your website has inspired me to do just that.

The memorabilia from Thomas A. Dorsey is fascinating. Mr. Dorsey began his musical career as a blues musician until he was saved. I belong to an on-line jazz research group and will send them “Mariah’s Zephr.” I’m sure that they will enjoy it.

Blessings to a talented Ms. Vicky.
