Passing down family stories
Hello everyone. I'm still working on story ideas for family reunions. I didn't have much luck with reparations discussions at family reunions, so my editor and I are trying another track.
Does anyone set aside speical time, or anytime, to pass down family lore during the reunion? Are there family stories and/or folklore that is repeated to succeeding generations?
Are there special rituals that are observed during the reunions? This can all be done formally or informally.
I'm asking because I'm wondering whether reunions are still times to meet/greet/eat, or whether they're serving a larger purpose. I figured the writers would be the one who would spearhead such efforts. :)
If you want to talk to me, email at the address above, or simply post on this board. Thanks for your help and attention.
