Your recent postings and review of Emerge Magazine's history, its unfortunate demise and the legacy of its editor, George Curry, are an inspiration. I still have a copy of the Clarence Thomas issue.

I will never forget how George Curry and Les Payne at Newsday shamed the general market press in their sloppy and anything-goes coverage of the death of Gerald M Boyd, former Managing Editor of the New York Times. Unbelievably this included the New York Times. I deeply appreciate their eulogy and remembrance, which I’m, sure are still muffled by the sensational grabbing headlines spewed from the google pagerank search engine.

We need more journalists like Curry and Payne.
