NPR's Writing Memoirs
Dear AFRIGENEAS WRITERS:
NPR radio interviewed three authors (Memoirs). NPR notes:
"Three memoir authors join Farai Chideya to talk about the craft of writing your own story. Dominick Carter is author of No Momma's Boy. Kym Ragusa memoir is titled The Skin Between Us, and Thulani Davis put her family history down in My Confederate Kinfolk."
One of my favorite journalists, Dominick Carter, a reporter for NY1, TV tells his painful but compelling story about his relationship with his troubled mother. All three authors share their insight into writing their history and add some cautions that will enlighten us.
