Re: Works of African-American Writers on Audio

I don't intend to purchase from them, Miss Dera. I use the site for information about what is being written and published by African American authors [then take my list to the library, LOL]. Most audio books are available in printed form, so I thought I would just give a heads up to this imprint which is new to me.

I have learned the hard way to beware of buying such 'classics' as the works of William Shakespeare, however. The renditions I purchased are done by a British repertory company, and I can not understand because of the heavy accents of the actors. [I liken it to going to the opera where I have to follow the script in the playbill to know what is happening if the opera is in Italian, German, or another language with which I am not familiar. LOL.]

I would appreciate any information you have on recorded books that are available for rental, purchase, or download [priced within reason of course].
