Also, some genealogists I know have also published their family histories using Kinkos or Staples. The cost was affordable, according to them, going this route. However, the cover page had to be part of the print package.

I have such a book of recipes, printed by a school. The recipes are all handwritten, and the cover page is designed by a contributor. A beautiful book in my opinion, with much more character than a professionally designed tome.
