Someone in my family tree and I don't know who it is..

Here's the story. The family tree has now become at a full bloomness, there are countless of names on the tree, and beside those names are the grands, the cousins, the aunts and uncles, the sibs, and even the parents. Of course there is much more to the research, but when you feel as though you are going so well, you discover as to why there is this strange little block or space dangling from the tree with no name, just a question mark, no birth and no death, just a question mark. You go back and you attempt to find it out. Hey this same little space is not connected or linked to any parent or the other, but just there. Yu go back to the beginning, and you search on and on, hoping where did you go wrong, or who it was. Was it a female or male? Did aunt Ellie have another child that you do not know or was unaware of? Besides as you know Aunt Ellie was often described as a rabbit because she always had a bunch of children. You dig deep into Aunt Ellie, and it seems as though out of the ten children she had, everyone is accounted for.
You even look into your own parents to see who was left out, and why? But it looks as though even all their children are accounted for. So who is it? So I searched up and I search down, I went to this place and to that place, did an ancestry.com thing, even went to all of the other geneological researches to find that person. Called up cousins to make sure. Then suddenly the realization was there, and I wondered why was it overlooked and became quite ashamed to the fact that the person with the question mark was ME.
