Hello Dera, Write Away, George and All,

Just wanted to let you know that I will be visiting my special story place "Mile Lane" later next week. I don't think I have ever been more excited about going "home" for a visit. The newspaper editor has made arrangements with me to meet Mayor Macie Roberson and take a photo for the newspaper. There's a list of folks who want to see me, I can't imagine why. I'm just a little ole coutry girl who still loves her special story place.

Going to Mile Lane and the surrounding areas will be a quite a different experience this time. I have to make a list of where to stop by. I definitely need to remember to check to see if the road actually lives up to it's name. I will also pay the new residents of Mile Lane a visit. I also have on my list to stop by the bank that my brother and I took a photo on when we were 2 & 3. We plan to take another photo on the same steps, 40+ years later.

Thanks again everyone for all of your encouragement while I was writing about Mile Lane. I will keep you posted when the paper appears online.
