I appreciate the critique. I agree with wanting to know more about Walker and James' regimental history. I in fact contacted the Ohio Genealogy Society to ask if they had any histories of each brothers regiment; that was after I googled their regiments and found a few publications. I forgot that the Journal of Negro history has a brief summary of the regiments that Walker was in. I think finding something for James might be a bit more difficult. I may have to use the name of his commander to find some information.
