I enjoyed your memories and remeber a similar childhood. I wish my kids had that kind of freedom, but in this day and age I don't let them out of my sight. It's sad that they can't wander and play like we did.

On the other hand, my kids do say yes ma'am and no sir. They are the only kids in the school who do it, but they do it anyway.
